Description

Wildlife, wildflowers and wild rivers abound. Hike the North Fork of the Sun River at the height of its early summer glory on this six- day/five-night trip. The North Fork of the Sun Serengeti Tour is an excellent way to explore all the North Fork has to offer, from the headwaters to the confluence with the South Fork of the Sun. Once over Route Creek Pass, the days include walking through the mature forests of the upper North Fork of the Sun, basking next to cool river waters, hiking up to Beartop Lookout for a view of the entire North Fork Valley and strolling through wide meadows teeming with wildflowers.

The North Fork is one of the last truly pristine large river valleys in the lower 48 states and early summer is the perfect time to experience its magic. While trail days include mostly river-grade hiking, there are several opportunities to access higher elevations. With the spring runoff starting to slow, there will also be ample fishing opportunities.

This trip is wonderful for both avid hikers and those that want to relax along the river. It offers great swimming holes, plenty of day hikes, wildlife viewing and a matchless opportunity to explore the entire length of the North Fork of the Sun River Valley.
