Anne Flowers grew up on a farm outside of Choteau, MT spending her formative years hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountain Front. She left the small town life for college in Ohio majoring in Theater and Biology but came back every summer to work on trail crew, spending the next 6 seasons exploring the pristine Bob Marshall Wilderness by foot and horseback. She then reached further afield and moved to New York City where Anne worked for REI, in the store but also guiding for their Outdoor School. Teaching rock climbing, kayaking, backpacking, biking and hiking, Anne was able to bridge the cap of ultra urban living with the hidden gems of the NY, NJ and CT “wilderness” areas.
Anne then moved to Washington DC with her now husband, Alan, where they resided for 5 years. She continued to work and teach with REI while also performing with various theater companies in the Mid-Atlantic. Now a resident of Salt Lake City, Utah, Alan and Anne spend their time trail running, skiing, mountain biking, paddling, climbing, cooking, and snuggling their dog Sego as much as possible. Anne is thrilled to be near the Rockies again and can’t wait to share her love of the Bob Marshall Wilderness and the outdoors with new and returning enthusiasts!
